NIFTY FIFTY • The Fiesta turns 50 in 2026. Over the next 64 pages we pay tribute to one of the most-important cars for Ford ever.

THE ONE • The original Fiesta of 1976 was a total gamechanger — and not just for Ford. 50 years on, we reveal why.

FIESTA BRAVO 1 • Ford Heritage: Boasting a distinctive two-tone livery and unique trim, the Fiesta Bravo is one of those special edition models many Ford fans fondly remember. MK4 FIESTA (1995 to 1999) • Ignore the sad face, the Mk4 took the best bits of the later Mk3s and added a stronger and much-improved chassis plus a brand-new range of rev-hungry engines.

WARM HATCHES • After the insurance hikes killed off the hot hatch craze, performance models took a back seat at turn of the century. Still, the Mk4 Si and Mk5 Zetec-S gave us something to smile about.

MK5 FIESTA (1999 to 2002) • With the award-winning Focus just launched, the Fiesta had some serious catching up to do. Fortunately, Ford came up with the goods — even...
